Home Energy Plans – What we offer

Most homes in the UK were not designed to be energy efficient nor to keep cool in a heatwave. Putting a home energy plan in place to get your home to be warm, light and comfortable throughout the year, without using much energy, is both the objective and challenge of retrofit. Our home energy services help you through this journey. We will help you create a home energy plan tailored for your house to get to a ‘net zero energy building’ with minimal energy bills.

Home Energy and Efficiency Condition Assessment

Identifies how your house is constructed and checks out if there are any defects which need attention before undertaking any energy efficiency work.

Whole House Retrofit Plan (Two Options)

An outline plan containing the steps needed for how to create your future cosy and more energy efficient home. The plan is developed in two alternative ways depending on customer needs.

Passivhaus Data Modelling

An optional extra service for those wanting to create a super energy efficient home through a ‘deep retrofit’. We use a technical modelling process to analyse all energy usage.

About Us

Owens Insight was formed in 2010 by Nick Owens
to provide general business consultancy.

In 2021, with the increasing pace of global warming, the business re-focused on the provision of housing retrofit services. Nick has an MSc in architecture and sustainability, plus additional qualifications and experience in ‘carbon lite’ retrofit from the association of Environmentally Conscious Building, and a diploma in Housing Retrofit and Risk Management from the Retrofit Academy.
